Beginning of rant: OK Im old. I know of hipsters from back in the 40/50s. Probably if I were young I would be a hipster. I just dont get why young folks like to categorize and group people, label them then hate them. Does it make them feel superior???. There is nothing positive about this kind of mentality. Dont like a way of thinking, ignore it but dont hate it. Such a waste of time to loath somebody you dont even know just because of how they dress. I went to West Tech back in the 60s and there were Greesers and Collegiates, or Mods and Rockers, I just dressed the way I wanted to but I guess I fell into the category of collegiate/mod. Then out of school it was straights and hippies. We were different but there was no hate and loathing. Im even still friends with a lot of them. Titles like clothes labels just make people think they are better than somebody else. Think about something important like just being a good person. End of rant.
