Revell As the New Year is quickly approaching and so many things going on in our nation that make us anxious and unsure of our future, I want to shift our focus to the things that are sure and eternal. While the things of this earth will eventually pass away, we need to keep on minds on the things that are everlasting. Off with the old, on with the new: And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things NEW, and He said unto me, write; for these things are true and faithful…Revelation 21:5 Sing unto the Lord a NEW song; sing unto the Lord, all the earth…Psalm 96:1 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more, in that He saith, a NEW covenant, He hath made the first old, now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish…Hebrews 8:12-13 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a NEW and living way, which He hath consecrated for us; through the veil, that is to say, His flesh…Hebrews 10:19-20 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become NEW…2 Corinthians 5:17 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye man be a NEW lump, as ye are unleavened, for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us…1 Corinthians 5:7 A NEW commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another…John 13:34 Again a NEW commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in Him and in you; because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth…1 John 2:8 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the NEW man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness…Ephesians 4:22-24 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the NEW man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him…Colossians 3:9-10 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for NEW heavens and a NEW earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness….2 Peter 3:13 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope, it is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not, they are NEW every morning; great is Thy faithfulness…Lamentations 3:21-23 And I will write upon him my NEW name…Revelation 3:12b And I saw and NEW heaven and a NEW earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more pain…Revelation 21:1 And they sung a NEW song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and open the seals thereof; for Thou wast slain, and has redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people and nation…Revelation 5:9 And He hath put a NEW song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord…Psalm 40:3 So as we embrace the NEW year and leave the Old behind, let us also embrace the truth of the gospel of JESUS Christ, our Savior and Lord, believing and resting in HIS promise to make all things NEW! Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thy own understanding, in ALL thy ways acknowledge HIM and HE shall direct thy paths.
