Behold, the bridegroom is coming “Then the kingdom of heaven - TopicsExpress

Behold, the bridegroom is coming “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘ No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. (Matthew 25:1-13 NKJV) Now this verse here has a deeper meaning which some of us do not see; this was written directly for the Jews, but we can use the principles here. If we notice this verse here is only in the book of Matthews why? Once again let me reiterate, this was directly written to the Jews. They understand the wedding talk here, and this is showing us the rapture here also. There were ten virgins, but only five had oil in their lamps, but the other five took oil in their vessels with their lamps. You see how the Holy Spirit gives us revelation here? He said their vessels with their lamps. Paul says it like this, But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. (II Corinthians 4:7 NKJV). We can see here the five excepted Christ, but the other five didnt. Whats the deeper meaning here? Half of the Jews will go up with the church, but for a lack of better term here because there is no Jew, no Gentile, no female, no male; we are all one new man in Christ. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26-28 NKJV) Why did the bible say Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps? In the Old Testament Aaron would go in the temple and trim the lamps. When the wick burns to where it starts to smoke he would lift it up.Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually. Outside the veil of the Testimony, in the tabernacle of meeting, Aaron shall be in charge of it from evening until morning before the LORD continually; it shall be a statute forever in your generations. He shall be in charge of the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually. (Leviticus 24:1-4 NKJV). The word burn is the word alah which means lift up. I say that because in the gospels JESUS says this, “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. (John 15:1-2 NKJV). The word He takes away is the the word airō in the Greek, and it means to raise up, elevate, lift up, to raise from the ground. You see Aaron was the first high priest, he is a type of Christ, and when he went into the temple he would tend to the menorah which is a picture of the church. So he would go in and lift the wick up from burning and smoking, and from eventually burning out. What is this a picture of? When we have things going on in our lives that are smoking and burning up; when we turn back to look at the center lamp which is Christ, He lifts us up out of that trouble. Are you in trouble today child of God? Are you feeling down and depressed? Just turn to Him, and He will lift you up. And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron, and say to him, ‘When you arrange the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.’ ” And Aaron did so; he arranged the lamps to face toward the front of the lampstand, as the LORD commanded Moses. Now this workmanship of the lampstand was hammered gold; from its shaft to its flowers it was hammered work. According to the pattern which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand. (Numbers 8:1-4 NKJV). Now some of the principles we can use from the ten virgins verse. For the most part we the church are sleeping on the rapture. We have gone away from teaching on the rapture because we have gone away on teaching on our High Priest. The bible says the five virgins were wise why? Because they had Christ He is are WISDOM, RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS, and REDEEMER. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— (I Corinthians 1:30 NKJV) Why did Jesus use the analogy of the vine tree? The vine tree has no trunk, but it has what we call a shaft, and the branches intertwine with one another. He wants us to know the same life that flows in Him is in us, and if thats not enough; as I told you before the menorah is a picture of the church, so lets look how it was made. “You shall also make a lampstand of pure gold; the lampstand shall be of hammered work. Its shaft, its branches, its bowls, its ornamental knobs, and flowers shall be of one piece. And six branches shall come out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side. (Exodus 25:31-32 NKJV). We see the shaft, and we see the branches also. God told Moses to hammer one solid piece of Gold into the menorah. Now this workmanship of the lampstand was hammered gold; from its shaft to its flowers it was hammered work. According to the pattern which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand. why did God tell Moses to hammer the menorah? Because Jesus was beaten for us to bring forth the branches. So the menorah, and the vine branch is one of the same. We cannot do nothing without Him. So as the door was closed on the five virgins that were sleeping, like wise this door will be closed on those who do not have Christ in their life, and this should be a concern for any of us who has oil in their vessel. Jesus is the door to all life. Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. (John 10:7-9 NKJV). So lets use our ram horn which is our mouth, and tell those who are spiritually sleeping which the bible uses the term spiritually dead; but lets tell them The Lord loves them, and He has died for them, and paid for all their sins on the cross. Past, Present, and Future. I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Isaiah 61:10 NKJV. Do you have bridal affection for Him? Because He has it for us. Behold, the bridegroom is coming. Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. (Revelation 21:1-3 NKJV). God bless
