Beigh, Yasin, Ruhullah top power tariff defaulters list Srinagar, Oct 6: The politicians in Jammu and Kashmir are among the major electricity tariff defaulters, owing arrears to the tune of over Rs 17 lakh to Power Development Department (PDD). As per the figures given by the Government in the Assembly, eight legislators have been found owing more than Rs 17 lakh to PDD. Among big-wig politicians are PDP MLA Muzaffar Hussain Beigh with Rs 8, 10,979, followed by MLA Khansahib, Hakim Mohammad Yasin owing Rs 6,82523 and National Conference MLA Aga Syed Ruhullah with Rs 54,140. Former Chief Minister and PDP patron Mufti Sayeed also figured among the defaulters. National Conference senior leader and former Minister of Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik, Bharatiya Janta Party member, Jugal Kishore, Congress member and Chairperson of J&K Social Welfare Advisory Board, Khem Lata Wakhloo and Bashir Ahmed Naz, Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakarwal State Advisory Board are also in the list. Mufti has an outstanding bill of Rs. 20,752, followed by Jugal Kishore with electricity arrears of Rs. 18,922 and Khem Lata Wakhloo with an amount of Rs 16683. MLAs Radhay Sham, Bharat Bhushan, Jagdish Raj Sapolia, Zulfkar Ali, Charanjeet Singh, Durga Dass, Lal Chand, Ashok Khajuria and NC MLA Shamima Firdous are also defaulters of power tariif, besides several MLCs Vijay Bakaya, Rani Bloria and Subash Chander.
