Being Fit.... In September 2014 something shifted in me and I found my body wanting to be fit again. So I started working out 4 days a week and then in mid September I started The Abascal Way diet - eliminating sugar, wheat, dairy, corn and peanuts. I have stayed mostly sugar, dairy and wheat free since September. Yesterday I weighed in 14 pounds lighter, 3 inches slimmer around the waist, 2 inches around hips and an inch around my arms. More importantly my hip pain is much less and I still feel good about continuing with exercise and a changed diet. I feel more fit, strong and balanced. I feel great! Thanks to Adam@ Vibrant Fitness for knowledge, inspiration and humor, Corey Hess @ CoreyHessBodyTherapy for getting me in my body, Ric Heinz for the nudge and Geoff Fitch, Venita Ramirez, Terri OFallon, Kim Frerichs and Kim Barta for all the support on the more subtle levels necessary to make these changes.
