Being a Board Member of CAA brings pride and joy. Not because of - TopicsExpress

Being a Board Member of CAA brings pride and joy. Not because of the title but because of the cost. There are few endeavors in this life that you willingly anticipate. But traveling to this beautiful country where CAA restores life is an endeavor well worth the cost. I found a strange paradox reflective of the beatitudes that embraces sorrow and joy in the same breath. But that is what takes place when you visit Kenya, when you see the faces of these children who are being offered hope. Hope for a life, for a future, for a purpose. That is what CAA does. That is what I witnessed as I navigated the narrow mud ridden paths of the large slum outside Nairobi. I looked in the eyes of children packed into tin roof classrooms and I saw the greatness of God. I saw resilience beyond reason and I saw courage. I saw Gods faithfulness as He led us to those in most need and with the most potential in the outlying rural villages that combat the AIDS pandemic and yet yield bright and engaging minds desiring to better their homeland. And that is what CAA does....it gives these childrens souls and spirits the opportunity to embrace what God has given them....to learn.... to strive....to hope. So, as you visit this page, as you look in their eyes, remember the least of these and remember the greatness of God.
