Being a Pharisee manifest itself when we think that watching a certain movie is unholy yet show no conscience when we treat a brother with contempt. What good is it to avoid television, dress modestly, say no cuss words, drink no liquor, smoke no dope, know the Bible well and yet pass up the commandment to be kind and compassionate? . . to visit the widow and provide for the orphan and show hospitality for strangers? Jesus saw right through the vain mask of piety that the religious institution of his day put on when they paraded in their hypocrisy, dont doubt that He sees right through ours too.
