Being a Servant Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever - TopicsExpress

Being a Servant Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave. Matthew 20:26-27 Matthew had to forsake security and money to follow Jesus. He must have thought twice when Jesus defined the roles of His followers. Did Matthew want to be a slave forever? That was Gods way in Gods kingdom. Every kingdom citizen had to serve every other one. Are you being a slave for Jesus? Are you expecting the slave status to be temporary? Boss of all the world, I am Your slave. I have no ambitions to be anything else. You give orders, and I will obey. Thank You for the privilege of being a slave in Your kingdom. That is better than ruling any other kingdom. Amen.
