Being a gospel artist is never exclusively about the artist - TopicsExpress

Being a gospel artist is never exclusively about the artist alone.... The word gospel adds to our responsibility beyond the stage, our credibility when delivering our message....my profile is definitely not as huge as others in my industry, but I understand the responsibility that comes with having a audience that is counting on your testimony to help them overcome. The lack of responsibility or stewardship to this testimony, will immediately diminish our credibility. I am attempting to be a good steward over the gifts that God has given me... With another year added to this life and in consideration of where I am in ministry I dont want to let the people that are counting on my testimony down. We all mess up, and make mistakes... But should things get to the point of no return, where the people that were assigned to your testimony and gifting now have to question... Can God really come through ? Yes it may seem unfair or an August task, but if you are given much, youre responsibility is much.... I dont want to let my assignment down... Whether that be the audience in my local church, or a stage in front of thousands.... Or my children. Put the pretense away. Get help. Youre assignment is too important.... Give Bathsheba privacy before your seed is lost. Theres always a redeeming quality in the life of the believer... There is grace in superabundance in your life. But there are also consequences to choices.... Whether good or bad choices... Again Im not judging, and Im in no position to judge (trust me).... But I do believe there is help... For us. Before the police come, before the story comes out, before its front page news...it can be helped... There are spiritual fathers that will cover you, and work with us in our weak areas.... Get under someone not these fake spiritual fathers that just want you in their church to boost their profile, I mean a spiritual father that could care less about your celebrity and wants your family healthy, your heart and mind protected. But if we are too busy collecting fans and followers, and recording and writing... And tripping and traveling... Not to examine our hearts... I love the concept of Sundays Best but I think the concept of a talent show that focuses on the ability more than the ministry, damages the focus of our next generation of musicians, singers, worship leaders etc... Thirst trap for real! Not judging I just know on my small stage I need help with being accountable... And that necessity doesnt change when your audience gets larger, or the album sales grow, and the contracts have added zeros... The responsibility grows... The margin for error decreases.... God help us all...
