Being a one man band for a living doesnt just mean playing all the instruments. It means creating a business plan, building and maintaining your own website, booking your own gigs, chasing down payments, managing expenses, budget, taxes, and accounting, scheduling, developing, and sometimes even producing your own promotional materials, drafting and executing contracts, selecting and maintaining equipment, loading, unloading, setting up, breaking down, hauling out, late night drives, and still finding time to practice, get better, stay current, and research/develop your next steps. And its my dream job that I am so lucky to wake up and do every day. I really admire Kawehi- not just for her music, but for her work ethic, passion, and sense of gratitude for being able to do what she does for a living. Shes been a huge inspiration to me, a great mind that I can ask for advice, and I cant wait to see where she goes next!
