Being a parent to teenagers is the hardest job ever! Parent Lesson #23 -my teens are responsible for doing their own laundry, they have been for years; wash, dry, fold, and put away. I have rules on how to use the machines - they are simple in my opinion (and will help make the machines last longer) zip up zippers, button up buttons, and TRIPLE check that your pockets are empty....so Ahnna failed to do this with the brand new machines at our new house (her first wash)....punishment was she needs to do her laundry twice at a laundromat, took her today for her first experience, and yes, she is responsible for paying for it too - ONLY Ahnna would take this experience and turn it into a positive right away, expressing that this was going to help her when she moves out to know what to do....she spent close to $20, and she said she didnt mind it at all....LOL!!! Hoping she is still leaning a lesson here, one more visit to go yet....
