Being a professional in a field means that we can be able to - TopicsExpress

Being a professional in a field means that we can be able to diagnose the problems of our clients/customers and provide solutions. In the field that I am privileged to have been trained, we receive the facts of our clients case and his/her instructions. We process the facts with our legal mind, and sometimes advise the clients of possible courses of actions available under law. The client then understands his case and issues appropriate instructions. If the client issues an instruction that tends to offend the cannons of law or our professional tenets and ethics, we advise the client that we cannot take up the instruction. If the client insists, the appropriate thing to do is to withdraw our services. Presenting the raw case to court without processing it (claiming it to be the clients instruction) does not make the lawyer better than his client. It doesnt seem an intellectual and ethical product. Its the client presenting his own case through a mere mouthpiece. Some ethics I learnt when I was trained to be a professional.
