Being a single parent should be no ones aspiration or goal. It takes two people (a male and female) to create a life for a reason. It EQUALLY takes two people to raise, shape, and mold the life. This shit is no walk in the park, no joke, and no badge of honor. Dont misunderstand me, my daughters father is a great dad-but there is a very real difference between co-parenting and raising a child together in the same house. Children need love, attention, food, clothes, discipline, freedom, and all sorts of other things that you dont even begin to understand until youve become a parent. It is a lot of weight and it is such an important task that we cant even create one alone...yet, so many glorify single parenting. Its not just about you! Your childs life needs balance...and that requires more than one parent. I want to break this cycle so badly! For myself. For my daughter. For the countless other women who see nothing wrong with having a baby daddy instead of a loving and supportive husband and dont realize that they are furthering the cycle. For the many young girls who are getting pregnant at young ages by boyfriends with no aspirations of finding a loving husband/mate to show that child what a loving marriage looks and feels like. And in this way...the cycle continues. Random, I know...but some days being the only parent in the house wears on me. #uncut
