Being a teacher is not about giving knowledge to students. A teachers job goes beyond the four walls of the classroom, it is more than just reaching out to people through the dimensions of the chalk board; teaching is much more than just a simple word. Teaching is about touching lives, it is about being an inspiration and a light to the young individuals who are slowly fading into the dark that they too have a chance to walk side by side with the rest. A teachers job is not to create noteworthy professionals but to develop proud and responsible citizens. More than anything, a teacher is a beacon of hope. It is not when a top performing student achieves the highest award that a teacher feels the glory, it is when a student comes to realize that he is more than what he is today.
