Being a woman means a lot of things... And its not the same for everyone. For many of us, the balance between professionalism and emotional management is Always in focus. Im an emotional woman, its part of what has made me good at every job Ive ever done. Sympathy and empathy have always come easily. Identifying, understanding, and relating to the pain of others is intrinsic. I have often carried the pain of those closest to me to help them step out from under it. But when you hurt me... I feel that deeply as well. When words are used to cause me pain, that pain is deep and harsh and leaves an aching mark. And I cry. I cry like a girl. I cry to release it all... I cry in the darkness of my room and the privacy of my pain. Always remembering that because I am a woman I will be judged differently as a professional if I let those emotions show.
