Being a wrestling fan for 25 years, at first i had always been anti UFC, i felt it just didnt appeal to me, douchebags with their Tapout shirts rolling around, but slowly as the WWE went PG and i couldnt take the kid storylines anymore, i found myself watching more UFC, and as i began to understand MMA more i started liking it, even becoming a fan of George St-Pierre. But i think what it took for me, was sitting at Boston Pizza with Brent McCombs and Brad Machry and Brian K Murphy watching a UFC PPV. I think that night, sitting there with friends, watching GSP fight, that sealed it for me. And even with GSP on temporary retirement, a new fighter has taken my top spot in 2013, the UFCs first ever Womens Champion Rhonda Rousey, i never thought the day would come where Id move on from watching WWE & TNA Wrestling, but in 2013...i did.
