To control the glucose level one has to prick ones finger several times during the day to extract a drop of blood that will be tested. The tech nerds at Google wondered whether there could be a more comfortable way. So now they are testing a smart contact lens that’s built to measure glucose levels in tears using a tiny wireless chip and miniaturized glucose sensor that are embedded between two layers of soft contact lens material.
