Being an IT developer myself... And even being proficient in the languages being used to keep a social network like FB running... I only see it as an idea for communicating and gathering information u can do something useful with. So I always find it awkward when people speak of it as more than just a few bits of data being passed around from one computer to another with a human being controlling which data is being sent. Being here does not make u invisible to the world. Its still just u sending messages to other humans around the world. You cant ignore culture, your upbringing, religion, decency and feel that because you are here those things dont matter. Its still u just communicating on a different medium. Dont try hide behind this. Its just an idea. Not a parallel universe!
