Being an NCO is one of the hardest jobs in the military. It is a job where you are a full time babysitter, mentor, leader and so much more. You are charged with not only the responsibility of your primary job but also the development of the subordinates with in your ranks. At times many soldiers feel like they know everything, they think that they can do it on their own. But as a good leader, you should allow them to fall flat on their face, while still being there in the background not to ridicule them but to encourage them to never give up A good NCO is one whom continues to motivate his/her troops despite the situation.
