*Being discussed on the Family Friendly Morning Show* Dear Len and Brooke, I recently started a new job after seven years as a stay-home mom. I find myself feeling a bit like a fish out of water, navigating a new world of workplace etiquette and theres one issue in particular I am stuck on. I have a co-worker that is VERY chatty. Shes actually more than my co-worker...shes my boss. She loves to visit and make small talk, and its seriously affecting my ability to do my job. Im already overwhelmed learning a new system, and every time I start to make progress she pops into my office or sends me a text and asks me to come visit her. Ive politely to address it, but when I tell her Im getting behind, she totally ignores me. Its a very awkward situation and Im concerned about my productivity if this keeps up. Please help!
