Being ethical transcends the absence of theft, rape, murder and so - TopicsExpress

Being ethical transcends the absence of theft, rape, murder and so on. Being ethical is holding yourself to a standard that requires keeping your word, not exploiting people, avoiding drama and conflict and not holding others in a state of contempt because they are physically, mentally or emotionally different from you, if they are not opposed to you. Being ethical is recognizing someone who is more powerful than you, more talented than you, or better looking than you and finding inspiration and drive in that experience; not hatred in that observation. Being ethical is quiet. When one is in a room alone and his emotions have run amok, he has a responsibility to himself to do whats right...whether anyone ever knows it or not. No one is perfect ( certainly not I) but abandoning ethics in the midst of emotional combustion... rarely ends well.
