Being home sick for the week has meant being able to catch up on some shows/movies. Im not talking about The Jeremy Kyle show too. Couple of reviews. Guardians Of The Galaxy . Bit late to the party on this one and glad I didnt read into what its about or watch any trailers. Good stuff by Marvel bringing these characters to the screen. It felt like a really polished, big budget B-Grade flick, in a good way with the corny lines, quirky characters. Slick CGI, full on action and a soundtrack to go with it. Never expected to hear Blue Suedes Hooked On A Feeling, or 10CC Im Not In Love on a Sci-Fi flick in 2014. Nice surprise. Rating: 9 Coconut Buns out of 10 . I ate the other coconut bun. Predestination . Didnt watch any trailers. Saw it was a Sci-Fi flick with Ethan Hawke. Hes usually good value in any flick hes in. Hawke is a time traveller and is completing his final mission. If you check it out, best to pay close attention . Similar to those Nolan types like Inception. Very strange but interesting storyline, that needs your attention to get clues towards the of the film, I thought it was pretty good. Rating: 7.5 Coconut Buns out of 10.
