Being limited or finite is not sinful. Denying it is. Being - TopicsExpress

Being limited or finite is not sinful. Denying it is. Being limited simply means we are creatures and not the Creator. Adam and Eves choice to be independent of God was a complete denial of the reality of their finiteness. They chose to buy into the lie that they could be their own provider and sustainer, in short their own God, and operate independent of the only true God when they clearly were not designed to and could not. This plunged the human race into pain, destruction and death as a result...of which God clearly cautioned them. The reality was our first parents were already like God, created in his image, with full access to and fellowship with God, the creator and sustainer of all things. However they wanted to and believed they could live beyond this reality. But their mere wanting and believing it did not make them equal to God or no longer dependent on him. God is the only true, complete and self sustaining Sovereign. We may be like God but we are still only creatures. To this day man lives in denial of these realities and continues on in pain, destruction and death as a result.
