Being patriotic is cool but I have a beef against folks that tend to pride themselves for being born in a particular country or skin colour and height. Pride is what you achieve and attain by yourself. Your birth as an American or Nigerian is one f**king genetic accident. Why see your living as a gift or an attainment It is just one freaking accident. Though I dont believe in Luck but everybody alive today is accidentaly lucky to be alive and you can die tommorrow. So saying that I am proud to be yoruba or Ibo is a freaking misappropriation of self use. Pride your self for inventing a light bulb or banging her crazy- that is what I call pride NOT ethnic or national accidental birth.
