Being silly with big brother, Ryan :) Today was a busy one for Katie, 2 appointments, and neither one was oncology. The first was to see an orthopedic about her feet, which have been turning in since about the time she was diagnosed. The doctor says she has what is called Femoral Anteversion, which is coming from her hips, the reason her feet will turn in when she walks. Apparently there is not much to be done about it, but on the upside, people with this have been known to run faster. ??? So at least we know when she picks on big brother, shell be able to run away from him when he chases her... Her second appointment was to meet with our local physical therapist, and start to regain strength that she lost when she started treatment. After the first 30 days, Katie was unable to walk, and we had to help her learn to do it again, and she just hasnt been the same since. So hopefully now that she is in Maintenance, we can start her on the path to recovery :)
