Being that my son is a broke college kid and Im the mom struggling to help the broke college kid get an education, I fly standby and my son has a buddy pass, only because my brother is a pilot. Its been a huge blessing for me. BUT stateside flights being full, we cant make it back on the busiest travel time of the year. (sob, sob). Plan B. Overseas flights were wide open.....hmmmm...... Instead of staying in Jacksonville for Thanksgiving (sob, sob), I cashed in my rewards points (courtesy of many out-of-town trials at the Holiday Inn) for THREE free nights at a hotel London.....We boarded wide open flights, flew business class no less, and made the best of a lonely Thanksgiving holiday walking the city of London, visiting free museums, historic sites, and just took in the city. Crazy, I know....but it was absolutely wonderful and forever memorable!!! Except I lost my phone there. That was a huge bummer!
