Being the better person and taking the high road with someone who is dead set on having a conflict and someone who finds it worth their time and energy to make things difficult (even if it means more difficult for them) as opposed to being in harmony, is tough. You may sometimes find yourself asking why I am turning the other cheek, whats the reward in all of this high road business? The reward is as simple as it is great..its the absence of bitterness. Withholding bitterness is a taxing attribute. Its heavy and its ugly. Not possessing bitterness is the reward.
