Being the victim myself of disability hate crime BY the police and in my complaint offering to help educate police officers in order to stop them potentially killing someone like myself in the future (all turned down, of course) I am pleased to see reports that the police themselves are not taking the crime seriously. The police world can be a very macho, swaggering one. It attracts little men and women who need a uniform to feel big - I cannot see that sort of mentality having the empathy to understand what it be like to be assaulted because of a perceived vulnerability - they are too busy trying to cover up their own weaknesses under a title and status. For some in the police a disabled or sick person represents the part of themselves they are trying to run away from and hide by joining the police force. ~H ATOS Miracles
