Being well integrated in a church community cannot and does not save. I feel that many people who consider themselves saved are part of a church community but share no intimacy with Christ. Though having been connected to church folks for years, they do not pray, it is evident that they do not read Scripture, and their repentance is a mask that they put on to fit in. However, as the Scripture says, ...let the wheat and tares grow together. Also, please pray for me. I have the opportunity to share the Gospel with my English class. Our first essay is a definition essay. We are allowed to write on any topic that is specifically defined but can be culturally defined, such as the word Family. Family has a specific definition, but it means a lot of things to a lot of people. Our goal is to argue what we believe it means. Im going to either write on Who is Christ? or What is the Gospel? - that is, what is the Gospel according to Scripture, and what does everyone outside of Scripture think it means - then I will revert back to what Scripture says it is as a foundation for what I believe it is. These essays will be read aloud in class next Thursday.
