Thats why I asked last week ukuthi if your team was to buy 18 new players would you still call that the team you support. The culture of a team must be developed in everyone who calls themselves part of that team. A team culture is not adopted but its inbuilt. We are Highlanders supporters because Highlanders is inbuilt in us. That same thing that has kept us supporting and prepared to die for Highlanders must be the same thing that is in our players, technical staff, officials and even administration staff. The Highlanders of old had that deep down in all of us. Players joined Highlanders at junior level with an aim of making it to the first team not to be groomed for other teams. By the time they made it to the first team they did not only understand the culture of Highlanders but they had the culture of Highlanders in them. Administrators of old were proven Highlandersists not people who were there just to be there. This entire Highlanders team, players, technical team and officials are not Highlanders but just a group of people masquerading as Highlanders. If they simply can not understand a basic Highlanders culture that no matter what match is played against Dynamos it matters and that its taboo to lose to Dynamos two times in a row then they are not Highlanders. Lets not lie to each other and canvass in a name this is not Highlanders at all. Akula ngitsho okuncane okubonisa ubuHighlander lapha, might as well change the colours and wear red as some of these administrators were suggesting at the beginning of the year. The whole lot of you must go because its evident you dont know what Highlanders is and what is expected of Highlanders. Better start afresh and lose with our own productions than win or lose with what is not ours and doesnot have us at heart.
