Beliefs validate differently, especially, people with authority - TopicsExpress

Beliefs validate differently, especially, people with authority like state police officials. I have reasons to why I have an attitude towards authority; yet, it differentiates and antagonizes the view I experienced, when Native people were working so hard to let others realize the changes that must be made. It leaves me no choice but to write about Pine Ridge, South Dakota and for this I wonder why? Why is their reservation known as “ground zero” for Native American issues, because, they stand up! This experience opened my eyes to the desire to want change. A.I.M. youth, women and children were abused by authorities. Women dragged by their hair and tasers pointed at us. A Lakota elder Dennis Banks, a co-founder to the A.I.M movement called it “confrontational politics,” were abuse from the colonizer continues and leaves others no choice but to confront a system unjust. Nonetheless, for this, my beliefs will remain the same. I heard a state official shout out that a Native had a gun, we were all unarmed, Lou Brings Plenty, a Lakota youth and leader, confronted, peacefully and let the other-side know the risk he was placing us all in! Society kills natives for no reason and here I sit writing this journal entry for my communications class!
