Believe me, I dont like calling someone out on their shit. I really, really dont. But the world can no longer afford to have Jesus wrapped in an American flag and sometimes the only way to get someones attention is to use sarcasm, wit or hyperbole. Sometimes people are so far gone you almost have to go to the other extreme just to get them to think. But if for one minute you think I like doing this, you would be mistaken. Do you know how much easier it is to just share good news that makes people feel better? That is easy. The hard part is when you see the good news distorted and people eating it up and the way it affects their sociology, politics, economics and relationships. Who is calling these mega leaders to task? Nobody. They have gotten so big they are untouchable. But I am not afraid of them, they are human just as I am. And they are just as responsible for their language and theological talk as I am.
