Believing in the saving love of God is much more than a theological longing or a discussion topic. It is something that humans react to spontaneously. Even while we are aware of our imperfections, we are aware that beyond these things, there is an Almighty God who is continually calling us to a higher and more noble way of life. We also know that we can never attain these heights in our own strength. It is often this realization of the demands that cause us to lose courage and give up striving for an honest spiritual life. When we realize our wrongs and inability to live as God requires it to be lived, it becomes absolutely essential for us to allow a willing God to transform us and anoint us with the power of the Holy Spirit, thus enabling us to follow and walk in His way. Loving Master, we are deeply thankful that You have transformed our lives according to God’s plan and that You have given us the power to cooperate with You in this. Amen!
