Bella has been through so much this past year. She has been tired, - TopicsExpress

Bella has been through so much this past year. She has been tired, sometimes she doesnt have much of an appetite, sometimes she doesnt even feel like drawing (which, if you know her, is a big deal-shes ALWAYS drawing). She takes pulses of steroids monthly which inevitably brings on extreme mood swings, tears at the drop of a hat, and an empty pantry (because she cant stop snacking). I have to fight with her to take her pills twice a day. She sometimes has a meltdown when its time to do blood-draws or access her port. She is not allowed to do some of the things she wants to do (especially if counts are low). Despite it all, I just keep telling myself its all going to be worth it in the end. As of today, it has been ONE year since Bella first showed symptoms and we began the process of being diagnosed with Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Bella is only 31 days away from her cancer-versary (1 year cancer-free). Im so proud of my baby girl!!! This past year we have definitely had some scary moments and close calls, but we serve an awesome God! He put AMAZING nurses, doctors, technicians, respiratory therapists, and other staff around her at her most critical moments and I know she wouldnt be here today without them. I also believe with my whole heart that she wouldnt be here today without all of your prayers, thoughts, and love sent to our family. Our entire family is so thankful to all of you and we are looking forward to sharing the next year of our lives with you. Praying for an amazing Year 2!!!!!!!
