Bellaire Police arrested Craig Darrah, age 43 of 207 21st Street - TopicsExpress

Bellaire Police arrested Craig Darrah, age 43 of 207 21st Street for disrupting the Belmont County 911 system , by continuously calling 911 and tying up the line. Darrah would hang up on dispatchers and curse at them and this would prevent callers with actual emergencies from contacting 911. It multiples the problem especially around the Holiday season as there is an increase in calls to the 911 Center. The disruption is also an officer safety and Emergency Personnel issue as dispatchers concentrate to see that they are in constant contact with all personnel as they respond to their incidents. Darrah was arrested for Disrupting the 911 system, a felony of the 4th degree and Persistent Disorderly Conduct. Darrah was transported to Belmont County Jail for lockup and a bond was set of $5000.00
