Belle and Sebastian s new single The Party Line , and can now be streamed below. Taken from the forthcoming album Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, The Party Line is the first radio single since Come on Sister from their previous album, 2010’s Write About Love. youtu.be/o7CP2zxS4zo. In May next year, Belle and Sebastian will welcome the summer with a 13-date UK tour stopping at historic venues across Wales, England and Scotland. Tickets for this will go on sale on Friday ahead of the band’s headline appearance at Pitchfork Festival in Paris on Friday night. Of the tour, Stuart Murdoch says “The peoples republic of Belle and Sebastian is on the move again, taking its message of responsible pop music in a revolutionary age to lands far and near. A little bit older, but no wiser, maturing like a fine wine ought to, our love for music, and the chance to lay it on your tender ear, is no diminished. We will pop you.” Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance will be released on Matador on January 19th/20th, 2015 (details at: matablog.matadorrecords/2014/10/14/coming-january-19-belle-and-sebastians-girls-in-peacetime-want-to-dance/). The ninth studio album from Belle and Sebastian was produced and mixed at Maze Studios in Atlanta by Ben H. Allen III, (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective, Deerhunter). Additional mixing took place in Glasgow with longtime collaborator Tony Doogan before being mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios.
