Belmar will host its Annual Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 28, 2014 Mayor Matt Doherty announced today that Belmar will host its annual Military Appreciation Day at the 5th Avenue Beach on June 28, 2014. In gratitude for all those who fight to protect and keep us free; all members of the military and their families are encouraged to come enjoy the Belmar beach, now fully restored from Hurricane Sandy. A day of good food, music, prizes and beach activities are planned, all free of charge for our heroes and their families. EVENT DETAILS: Saturday, June 28, 2014 12:00pm – 4:00pm 5th Street Beach in Belmar, NJ No pre-registration is required and all service members must do to enter the event is display their military identification. Both active military members and veterans are welcome. Free parking is provided.
