Beloved! For those of us who study the Word of God diligently, we are blessed with more of Gods knowledge, wisdom, understanding, revelation and power. His love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit given to us. And more is expected of us. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is not the acquiring of the knowledge, wisdom, understanding, revelation and power from the heavenly places, that qualifies us in Christ. It is the practising of the blessings we have received from God, the Word of truth, the gospel of peace, that is highly important in our Christian walk with Christ. We must put the Gospel of peace into practice for it to come alive. For the word is spirit and life. Gods words and principles should be our daily bread of life. Our Lord Jesus explains in Mat 13:18-23 what happens to Christians who receives the word and do nothing, very little or much with it. The Parable of the Sower, He said: “Hear then the parable of the sower: when anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in the heart. Some hear the word and immediately receive it with joy; yet have no root, but endure only for a while, and when trouble or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately fall away. Some hear the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing. But some hear the word and understands it, indeed bear fruit and yield, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” Beloved! the Lord searches hearts and minds and repays according to deeds. Practising the Word by applying it to our every day lives allows us to bear good fruit and see good results. The Word of God NOT practised is the spirit and life NOT experienced. We must not miss out on the demonstration of His power and righteousness; compassion and forgiveness; healing and grace in and through our lives. We must practice His Word as commissioned in the gospel of peace, for they are spirit and life. May God meet us at the point of our needs and perfect our lives in Christ Jesus. Amen and Amen!
