Beloved LCHS teacher, Cathy Scaife, has been selected as the 2014 recipient of the “Outstanding Latin Teacher Award” for her efforts on behalf of the world language students at LCHS. Mrs. Scaife is the FIRST Latin teacher to ever receive this award! The KWLA Awards Committee Chair writes, “Your students are truly blessed and their lives enriched for their experience with you. KWLA feels that you represent our organization very well and that you are an excellent role model for world language teachers everywhere!” She was nominated by her colleague, Megan Iranpour, and selected by the Kentucky Classical Association (KCA) in conjunction with the Kentucky World Language Association (KWLA).
