Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. (1 John3:21-23) God said if our hearts dont condemn us, we have confidence toward Him and we will receive what we ask for. If we have been asking and not receiving, we need to re-evaluate our love walk. We receive what we are asking for when we are obeying His commandments and when we do what is pleasing in His sight. These are His commandments: That we believe on the Lord Jesus, and that we love one another. Walking in love keeps us walking in the blessings of God. Of course its not easy, because we have to continuously put the flesh under. Most of us have been used to just yielding to whatever are flesh feels. For instance, we think its fun to judge and talk about other people because it makes us feel bigger or better than another. Thats pride! Pride is not of God! And it is certainly not loving one another! Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged (1 Cor. 13:4-5) If we walk in love, we put ourselves in a position to walk in the blessings of God.
