Beloveds, This Sunday you are invited to explore your authentic yes, and authentic no. Grab a coin. Close your eyes and focus on something you are trying to make a yes or no decision about. Now flip that coin. Before you ever look ok at that coin, you can feel what you want the answer to be. If the results confirm that feeling, you may readily go with it. If it doesnt, you may rationalize why flipping a coin is silly, or decide to do the best 2 out of 3. Either way, your gut has already made a decision, not the coin. Sometimes our gut tells us to say yes or no to something that defies logic. Sometimes this decision feels so right that we go for it against “better judgment.” When the outcome of this is pleasing, we pride ourselves for going with our gut. When the outcome feels challenging and different than we imagined, we berate ourselves for not knowing better, for gambling on our gut. In the big picture, we always make the right decision. In fact there are no wrong decisions, as they all provide the opportunity to move us further along our path. Our intuition is attuned to what we need over what we want, and the actions that come from this place move us deeply into growth. Our ability to reason and rationalize is a powerful tool when used in balance with intuition. Our minds out of balance can yell, fearfully loud, drowning out the gut/intuition.
