Below are a collection of updates copied and pasted from Peters page, from the most recent to yesterday evening. The news continues to be good and Peter has made a lot of progress since he almost left us exactly 1 month ago today. Thanks everyone for your continued prayers for Peter. ----------------------------------- Update by Mike Hahn: Update on Peter Banfield.(1 Hour Ago) I was able to go and see Pete today and spend a few hours with him. I want to express that he is truly a living miracle. No Joke. Even the doctors and nurses say that it is not their doing that he is with us today. The nurse stated that he has made big strides in the healing process and not just since the time he arrived there but daily. His muscles are still weak from being in a coma but I watched him as he was able walk down the hallway today about 20 feet on his own with a walker. He is speaking in whispers because even his vocal chord muscles are weak from the tube that was in his throat for weeks. He was able to place his order for dinner by phone item by item and you could tell he is thinking clearly as he spoke. He also laughed and joked with us even though it hurt in his weakened condition. But you could tell Pete is back and is just going to need some time. His buddies James Williams, David Alvarez, Soup Bone, Matt Harris and Davit Souders dropped by and brought one of Petes guitars his eyes were lit up as he enjoyed talking with us all and Soup Bone was playing some awesome stuff on the guitar. It was awesome to be able see Pete recovering so well. Update by James Williams (1 hour ago): I had a great Mon and Tue with Peter I got him to play the Ukulele and went to Firey Brothers music picked up a half size electric gtr for him to play.I got a chance with David Alvarez and Soup Bone to help Peter walk with a walker and the nurses.I also got to see Matt Harris from Tennessee Peter can play gtr he just needs to be pushed to do it for his recovery I also bought him a cd player and brought a bunch of gtr cds from Texas.So please encourage him to play just sit and strum anything would be good.. and when you check on him give him his music to listen to if it is possible.. thanx keep praying and believe in Jesus name for his total healing. Update by David Alvarez (6 Hours Ago): Its been a great day. I was fortunate enough to spend time with 3 of the best guitar players (no exaggeration) and favorite people on the planet, Peter Banfield, James Williams, and Soup Bone.we visited pete in the hospital and his miraculous recovery is excelling. He did some walking today and is in good spirits. Keep him in your prayers!! Update by Jenny Mullowney Wrinkle (yesterday 8:21 pm): He played Aint She Sweet on the ukulele. After that he said, I want to sing some Van Halen with Davit. Who could ask for anything more? Update by Eric Munion (yesterday 7:23pm): Pete played a little ukulele tonight. The trach was removed today. Looks good.
