Below are some Values that we share as a chapter and Outcomes we want to see in the world. These are the results of our #Think2040 brainstorms. If you recall, we promised to digitize all the work ... and here we go! Shared values: Accessible and Quality Education Equal opportunity for all people (gender, race, beliefs) Transparency and Ease of Access to Information World Peace Healthcare Equality Healthier and Greener environment Equal access to legal representations (know your rights) Freedom of speech and assembly Equal access to clean water Shared outcomes: Equal access to quality education K-12 in all states and neighborhood Elimination of extreme poverty. (Fair distribution of wealth) Free higher education Higher graduation rates among minorities Lower percentage of minority incarceration Strong reliance on sustainable energy Lower rates of infant mortality among minority groups DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Self-sustained low income communities through local community development centers (less dependent on federal assistance) Next step, is to refine those values and outcomes, and write policies that would take us from the former to the latter. #RooCCNY #RooCCNYPolicyTraining #KeepWinning
