Below is a conversation I just had (via text) with a friend of mine, who is white, in regards to my status about Black America. You will know my responses, however their name will not be disclosed. Question: why does everything have to do about race? Enough blk n white s**t! geezzzz! Its all about how u were raised .... u can take a blk kid and raise them in a white home and they turn out what u teach them. why is everything about blk n white? Me: Because it is. That same black kid raised in a white home will still be victimized by a prejudice nation. Lol cmon why do blk ppl always play the race card? enough already. Me: Black kid who was adopted by white parents was arrested for breaking into his own house in a white neighborhood. This just happened - in real life. Someone saw a thug in this nice home and assumed the worse, Slavery is ovveerrrrrrrr. Me: Are you serious? U guys r making it a big deal allllll the time. Me: Slavery is not over; its just restructed. White privilege is a real thing. Wow. Clearly you have no idea. If blk ppl wouldnt put an emphasis on race then ppl would get along and stop yelling wolf. Just sayin... every story has 2 sides and blk ppl only see the color side..Just like my ex will tell u things about his point of view and mine will be totally different. I love all races .... so just be happy and stop this blk n white s**t. Its a perception. Me: We, as black people, have this emphasis put on us. Black people are not the ones seeing the color side - we are the color side. The side continually enslaved, murdered, pissed on, and disregarded by America and the White privilege that still exists. Its not just blacks - all people of color. After whites stole the nation from the Natives, they claimed ownership and now being that whites are fastly becoming the minority, and being outnumbered by this lands rightful owners they dont want to relinquish that power or give up that control. A drunk white man runs into a piece of land and steals it, and for that we have a holiday? One cannot discover what already exist. This black & white s**t is real life! Ok Lonnie. Well im tired of hearing about it. Me: Then DONT listen. Clearly youre NOT paying attention anyway. Youre a Lily white woman. Youll never get it or understand. Blk women r drama queens i dont wanna hear how white ppl get this and that why poor ole blk me get nothing....enough. Its sad when white ppl can predict what a blk ppl are gonna say.That means its a broken record..... watch n see. Me: Stop it. Stop what? Me: The crazy comments. Really .... they r legit. Me: Thats YOUR perception. Its ridiculous but its yours. its what most white ppl want to say but r to afraid to say it. Because blk ppl will take offense to everything and make a mountain out of a molehill. Just stfu and go on with your lives geezzzz louise lol Me: You might be borderline racist and not even know it.
