Below is a statement from our source with the City of Milwaukee regarding @advancedwst @TiffanyTarpley [a.k.a. Advanced Waste Services] We are awaiting engineering reports on odor mitigation solutions and a proposal for storage reduction. Once those reports are received, we will review and determine if they are effective solutions or temporary pacification. Those reports were due at the end of September but, we have granted additional time due to the complexity of our demands. We will proceed as necessary once a determination is made. We do have an interim agreement that requires AWS to discontinue odor producing operations until a determination can be made. We also have a complaint procedure designed to identify violations of that agreement should any occur. That complaint procedure is attached. From the neighborhood standpoint, we have noted repeated problems since August 2013, and going back years, as far back as 2004. We appreciate the neighbors who have continually used the procedure below for verified complaints. The problem may not affect the entire neighborhood (localized at times near Highland Blvd and Martin Drive), but we stand together to ask the City of Milwaukee for relief and a solution neighbors can live with. Our quality of life depends on it.
