Below is an e-mail that I received from Pope Johns hospital today. At last they have been hooked up to a power grid. Of course all of the things that go along with electricity will now pop up. The water loss is only one thing. Imagine what happens when they have an electrical fire, or someone get electrocuted. There is no ER or fire extinguisher. I have also put in a video that shows what they are using as a feeding center. We give the 800,000 Ushs ($320) per month to buy milk and food for the kids. Since World Vision and UNICEF withdrew, we have really had a hard time. Now something else to work on. Please pray for all of this as I continue to work on our January trip. Dear Bill, The number of children fed for April were 4 Female (2) and Male (2) and May 11 Male (7) and female (4). I will be giving the number for June shortly. I am happy to inform you that at last the National electricity grid reached the hospital on the 9th June 2014. This is a big achievement. The immediate challenge is its control. We already have realized with a lot of concern that the hospital loose a lot of power and therefore money due to water leakage. Currently the hospital water supply comprise of old rusty galvanized pipes and the plastic ones for the recently constructed buildings. The two systems run concurrently though the end points for many old pipes is not known. It is against this background that the hospital urgently needs to streamline its water supply not only to minimize the leakages but also to boost the water supply at the hospital. To have this project done, the hospital will need 65 million. I will be very grateful for nay contribution towards this need. Sr. Rosemary
