Below is copied from channel 7 weather in Lake Charles. I think I should cancel the Bag Tag Gumbo what do yall think? The cloudy, showery weather continues into Friday as the slow moving storm system begins to organize over Texas. Our highest rain chances on Friday will come during the morning with a general drying pattern expected later in the day. This does not mean we will see any sun, but the wet weather should be isolated in nature for much of your Friday. Highs will begin to warm just a bit as a warm front begins to surge out of the Gulf setting the stage for a stormy start to the weekend. Saturday is when the weather really goes downhill as a cold front swings through the area. The slow moving nature of this front will lead to the potential for heavy thunderstorms with widespread rainfall amounts between 1-2 inches. In addition to heavy rains, a small risk for severe weather will exist with the predominant threat being damaging winds or an isolated tornado. As for the timing, the worst of the weather will come during the first half of the day between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The front clears the area by Saturday night sending temperatures plunging yet again. Sunday will likely start with clouds before sunshine returns by the afternoon hours. Breezy northerly winds will lead to a chilly day as highs only make it into the low 50s.
