Below is the speech I made last night at the Democratic Fundraiser. Thank you to EVERYONE that made the event possible. Good evening my name is Debbie Herndon and I want to be your Democratic candidate in November! I am the daughter of Donnie & Kathy Tapp, been married to Scott Herndon for 27 years and about this time 16 years ago we found out that we were to be blessed with twins, Kelly & Emily. We have two older children Chris & Danielle and two wonderful grandchildren, Colin & Lillie Grace. I have been employed for the last 31 years by a family owned business in the construction industry. During this time not only have I dealt with the accounting portion of the business I have worked with private, city, county,state, and federal bids and contacts. I believe that this type background is a plus for the office of county judge executive that I am seeking. While I have enjoyed my job tremendously January 1st 2015 I would like change my commute to Main Street in Taylorsville KY. A few people have asked me what I would do for the county? What I will do is try to promote what you as constitutes want to see and do with OUR county. Its not about I, ME, MY, it is WE, US, OURS. As my signs have stated Lets work TOGETHER to make Spencer Co better! In the BIG picture it matters not who gets the credit as long as WE can get it done. I would like to thank you for your time and support and ask you to remember position number 2 on the ballot May 20th.
