Beltrami County Emergency Management HEAVY RAINFALL LIKELY TODAY... SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED... KEEP A NOAA/EAS SOURCE CLOSE... Severe thunderstorms are marching across eastern North Dakota this morning and will continue to move across the Red River Valley into northwestern and northern Minnesota through the morning. If the storms sustain severe limits and continue to progress as they have been, they should arrive into Beltrami County after 9AM. Main threats will be strong winds, very heavy rainfall, and possibly some hail. After the morning storms move through, additional development is expected this afternoon into the evening... some of these storms have the potential to be rather strong to severe as well. And our disclaimer which will be on most posts... keep a source of NOAA Weather Radio or EAS close today and listen for any warnings that are issued. We will try to post on here ASAP but do not use facebook as your primary warning source.
