Ben Christophers has been a big influence over the years. My Beautiful Demon was very much a landmark record for me when it came out in 1999; so much more than the new Buckley thing that kept getting chucked at him. I first met him at the Mercurys, where I recognised his face behind the keyboards for Bat For Lashes, and it turns out hes as lovely as his music. Have a listen. This is the good shit.
